Senior Linux Administrator

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking a Senior Linux Administrator in Denver, CO.

Summary:
This role requires a Senior Linux Administrator to support the list of tasks to support our Linux Server Administrator in support of our WebLogic Server and the Exalogic Migration project, currently underway.

Tasks to complete involve:
* Completing the migrations of 2 WebLogic environments from Exalogic to ExaUCS platform
* Contracted resource would assist with troubleshooting/correction of issues and any lingering tasks
* Contractor would provide Linux administration and support of the WebLogic upgrade effort as needed and drive the implementation (CR) process
* Completion of upgrades to API Gateway/TIES/TIS end-of-life
* Contractor would perform ongoing support, patching, and upgrades required to maintain N-1 (or 2) versioning status of WebLogic until each of the applications is migrated to its respective new home
* Linux server builds
* Linux server cloning
* Linux server patching
* Install Java on Linux servers
* Install security agents (CrowdStrike, Illumio) on Linux servers
* Install a ndconfigure Apache on Linux servers
* Configure Apache proxy & load balancing
* Create shared file systems
* Create NFS mounts
* Install Cohesity backup agent on Linux servers
* Coordinate Cohesity backup and restore activities with backup admin
* Procure and install SSL certificates
* Establish Apache-WebLogic connectivity
* WebLogic (& SOA) installation and configuration
* WebLogic cluster configuration
* WebLogic patching
* Set up monitoring runbooks
* Documentation including SOPs & Config Workbook updates

REQUIREMENTS:
* To be considered for this position, candidates must have experience in a similar role, or they must possess significant knowledge, experience, and abilities to successfully perform the responsibilities listed
* Relevant education and/or training will be considered a plus

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
