Project Manager/Sr. Consultant

Description

We are looking for a skilled Project Manager/Sr. Consultant to lead project planning, execution, and delivery for business and technology initiatives. This contract position with permanent potential is ideal for someone who can coordinate cross-functional teams, manage timelines and budgets, and keep stakeholders informed throughout the project lifecycle. The role requires a strong foundation in IT project management, the ability to balance multiple priorities, and a focus on delivering high-quality outcomes that align with business goals.

Responsibilities:
Partner with leadership and key stakeholders to shape project goals, define deliverables, and confirm the overall scope of work.
Build and maintain comprehensive project plans that outline tasks, milestones, dependencies, timelines, and resource needs.
Track progress against established schedules and make adjustments as priorities, risks, or business needs change.
Coordinate communication across business users, quality assurance teams, development groups, and external partners to support successful execution.
Create and organize project documentation, records, and status materials to ensure information is accurate, secure, and accessible.
Oversee project performance to help ensure deadlines, budget expectations, and quality standards are consistently achieved.
Review completed work with project participants on a regular basis to confirm alignment with requirements and performance expectations.
Support vendor or consultant engagement activities, including selection, coordination, and ongoing oversight when outside support is needed.
Evaluate project results against defined success measures and share outcomes, lessons learned, and recommendations with stakeholders.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in business administration or a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
At least 5 years of experience in project management, with a background leading business or technology-focused initiatives.
Demonstrated experience guiding the design, development, or implementation of software, hardware, systems, or enterprise products.
Working knowledge of Agile delivery approaches and project management tools such as Jira, Microsoft Project, Visio, Excel, Word, and Outlook.
Strong communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills, with the ability to present information clearly to varied audiences.
Proven analytical and problem-solving ability, including managing competing priorities and making sound decisions under deadline pressure.
Experience with finance-related environments or SAP Finance and Controlling, SAP FICO, or SAP Security is preferred; insurance industry experience is a plus.
PMP or similar project management certification is preferred.
