Employment in this role is conditional upon successful execution of the contract by the client. The Work The Business Analyst Requirements Engineer leads requirements elicitation, documentation, and management activities for complex programs. This role serves as a vital liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams, translating organizational objectives into clear, actionable, and testable requirements. The Requirements Engineer applies industry's best practices, standards, and methodologies to ensure the delivery of robust solutions that meet mission needs, regulatory requirements, and contractual obligations

Responsibilities Key Responsibilities - Analyze, evaluate, and document business processes, workflows, and system interactions.
- Develop comprehensive business, functional, and technical requirements specifications.
- Translate high-level business objectives into detailed user stories, use cases, and acceptance criteria.
- Perform gap and impact analysis to identify opportunities for process improvement and solution optimization.
- Ensure requirements traceability throughout the project lifecycle, maintaining alignment between business needs and delivered solutions.
- Collaborate with project managers, developers, testers, and other technical staff to support requirements validation and solution design.
- Conduct stakeholder interviews and workshops to clarify requirements and address ambiguities.
- Prepare and maintain detailed requirements documentation, process models, and business analysis artifacts.
- Support change management and configuration control processes, assessing the impact of requested changes.
- Assist in the development of test plans and cases to verify requirements implementation and solution quality.
- Communicate requirements, analyses, and recommendations to stakeholders, leadership, and delivery teams.

- Eight years of experience as a Business Analyst capturing and documenting business processes and requirements.
- Six years of experience as Business Analyst capturing and documenting software development and Information technology processes and requirement used in a Microsoft SharePoint and Microsoft Internet Information Services (IIS) environment using the Microsoft .NET framework.
- Eight years of experience creating process diagrams and flow charts, mapping business processes to the customer requirements.
- Five years of experience working with software developers and customers to scope projects, estimate levels of effort, and evaluate customer requirements in order to create applications to deploy to Microsoft SharePoint (both out- of-the-box and with custom coded) and to Microsoft Internet Information Services (IIS) using the Microsoft .NET Framework.
- Three years of experience mentoring junior personnel on proper practices and procedures.
- Five years of experience with the SDLC and Agile processes.
- Active Top-Secret/ SCI with SBI and ability to attain SI, TK, G, HCS, and NATO Secret clearance.
- Must be able to pass a background check. May require additional background checks as required by projects and/or clients at any time during employment.

Reports to: Program Manager Working Conditions - Professional office environment.
