Position Summary
4Consulting, Inc is seeking a qualified Software Developers to support technology consulting, application development, systems analysis, testing, data management, cybersecurity, infrastructure, or project delivery services for client projects. The selected candidate will perform duties consistent with the client’s project requirements and company delivery standards.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The candidate will be responsible for:
Translate business requirements into application architecture, UML and component designs, integration patterns, data-access strategies, technical specifications, and implementation plans across application, database, middleware, and infrastructure layers.
Lead application development, maintenance, enhancements, technical assignments, design and code reviews, and developer mentoring. Provide hands-on troubleshooting and promote reusable engineering practices that align with coding, security, accessibility, and organizational standards.
Design and integrate web applications, Java services, APIs, databases, portals, workflow systems, business rules, middleware, and third-party solutions. Support application modernization, legacy-system migration, and platform compatibility while addressing complex integration requirements.
Develop and review complex SQL queries, PL/SQL, stored procedures, and controlled production data-correction scripts. Support unit, integration, system, regression, and user acceptance testing; resolve cross-layer defects, performance issues, and data-quality problems.
Lead critical production support, incident resolution, and root cause analysis. Support deployments, releases, migrations, patches, platform upgrades, and infrastructure changes while minimizing production impact. Maintain technical documentation, evaluate change risks and dependencies, and communicate recommendations to technical and nontechnical stakeholders.
Minimum Qualifications
The position requires:
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience:
15+ years of software development and complex enterprise application experience preferred, including 10+ years of technical leadership or application architecture experience. Experience with enterprise application development, system integration, application modernization, database development, production support, technical reviews, and developer mentoring. Experience with modern web development frameworks and enterprise application platforms is preferred.
Technical Skills:
Java/J2EE, Application Architecture, Object-Oriented Design, UML, JavaScript, Web Development Frameworks, REST APIs and Web Services, SQL/PL/SQL, Relational Databases, DevOps and Source Control Tools
Business / Domain Skills:
Experience supporting complex enterprise application environments involving business processes, interconnected systems, application modernization, legacy-system migration, workflow management, and enterprise integration.
Experience designing, developing, enhancing, and integrating enterprise applications, APIs, interfaces, workflows, batch processes, and data-processing components supporting business operations.
Experience leading application architecture and delivery activities while coordinating business stakeholders, analysts, developers, quality assurance teams, database specialists, infrastructure teams, and operations personnel.
Experience supporting production applications through incident management, root cause analysis, data correction, release coordination, system upgrades, and change-impact assessments while maintaining data integrity, application reliability, and operational continuity.
Communication:
Ability to communicate with technical and business stakeholders.
Documentation:
Ability to prepare project documentation, status updates, and deliverables.

Preferred Qualifications
Experience with enterprise application frameworks, modern web development technologies, application servers, database platforms, and integration solutions.
Familiarity with application modernization, workflow management, portal technologies, source control, development environments, and automated build and deployment processes.
Strong technical leadership, analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills, with the ability to mentor developers, review technical designs, evaluate implementation options, maintain documentation, and collaborate effectively with technical and nontechnical stakeholders.
