Position Summary
4Consulting, Inc is seeking a qualified Software Developers to support technology consulting, application development, systems analysis, testing, data management, cybersecurity, infrastructure, or project delivery services for client projects. The selected candidate will perform duties consistent with the client’s project requirements and company delivery standards.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The candidate will be responsible for:
Translate business requirements into application architecture, UML and component designs, integration patterns, data-access strategies, technical specifications, and implementation plans spanning application, database, middleware, and infrastructure layers. Recommend solutions that align with enterprise architecture and organizational standards.
Lead hands-on development, application maintenance, enhancements, technical assignments, design and code reviews, and developer mentoring. Establish reusable engineering practices and promote compliance with coding, security, accessibility, performance, and quality standards.
Integrate web frontends, Java services and APIs, databases, portals, workflow systems, business rules, middleware, and third-party applications. Support legacy-to-modern migration, platform compatibility, application modernization, and enterprise integration initiatives.
Develop and review complex SQL, PL/SQL, stored procedures, and controlled production data-correction scripts. Lead unit testing, integration testing, system testing, regression testing, and UAT support; troubleshoot cross-layer defects, resolve performance and data-quality issues, and improve application stability and maintainability.
Lead critical and emergency production support, root cause analysis, and sustainable defect resolution. Support deployments, releases, migrations, patches, platform upgrades, and infrastructure changes while minimizing production impact. Maintain architecture and system documentation, assess change risks and dependencies, and communicate technical recommendations to business and technical stakeholders.
Minimum Qualifications
The position requires:
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience:
15+ years of software and application development experience, including 10+ years of hands-on Java/J2EE development and extensive experience in technical leadership, application architecture, or solution design. Experience with enterprise application development, object-oriented design, system integration, production support, technical reviews, developer mentoring, and client-facing communication.
Technical Skills:
Java/J2EE, Object-Oriented Design, UML, Spring, Hibernate, JavaScript, REST APIs and Web Services, SQL/PL/SQL, Relational Databases, Application Architecture and DevOps Tools
Business / Domain Skills:
Experience supporting complex enterprise application environments involving business processes, application integration, system modernization, legacy-system migration, workflow management, and interconnected business systems.
Experience designing, developing, enhancing, and integrating enterprise applications, APIs, interfaces, workflows, batch processes, and data-processing components supporting business operations.
Experience leading application architecture and delivery activities while coordinating business stakeholders, analysts, developers, quality assurance teams, database specialists, infrastructure teams, and operations personnel.
Experience supporting production applications through incident management, root cause analysis, defect resolution, release coordination, system upgrades, and change-impact assessments while maintaining data integrity, system reliability, and operational continuity.
Communication:
Ability to communicate with technical and business stakeholders.
Documentation:
Ability to prepare project documentation, status updates, and deliverables.

Preferred Qualifications
Experience with enterprise Java frameworks, application servers, database technologies, web services, and modern application development practices. Familiarity with contemporary JavaScript frameworks and enterprise integration platforms is preferred.
Experience with application modernization, workflow and business rules platforms, data integration solutions, identity and access management, source control, and automated build and deployment processes.
Strong technical leadership, analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to mentor developers, review technical designs, evaluate implementation options, document solutions, and collaborate effectively with technical and nontechnical stakeholders.
