Job Title: L3 Application Support / Production Support

Must Haves

• 
  

  Engineering & Development: Strong engineering background with hands-on experience in .NET, C/C++. Ability to read complex code, debug application logic, and build engineering solutions that enhance platform reliability.

  
  


• 
  

  Networking & Security: Deep understanding of DNS, DMZ, Load Balancing (LTM/GTM/F5), Firewalls/Proxy, SSL/TLS, Kerberos, SAML, OAuth2, SFTP, Active Directory.

  
  


• 
  

  Platform & Scripting: Expert in Unix/Linux & Windows troubleshooting; proficient in Python, Shell, Perl, and JavaScript for automation and tooling.

  
  


• 
  

  Monitoring & Observability: Hands-on experience with Splunk, Dynatrace, AppDynamics, AIOps, and Cribl; ability to build dashboards and configure intelligent alerting.

  
  


• 
  

  Middleware & Batch: Strong knowledge of MQ, WebLogic/WebSphere/Apache, Oracle Coherence, Vertica, and Autosys (or equivalent scheduling tools).

  
  


• 
  

  Automation & Infrastructure: Experience with Ansible, OpenShift, and containerized environments to drive configuration management and deployment automation.

  
  

Day-to-Day

• 
  

  Ensure Platform Reliability: Provide hands-on production support for global MSRT platforms, participate in on-call rotations, and lead incident management and root cause analysis to implement permanent fixes.

  
  


• 
  

  Drive Automation & Observability: Build and enhance automation tools (Ansible, Python) to eliminate manual toil. Lead observability initiatives by onboarding applications to SRE tools and configuring proactive monitoring.

  
  


• 
  

  Manage Application Lifecycle: Oversee the full lifecycle of applications including .NET and Java-based deployments, environment configurations, middleware management, and support for weekend maintenance activities (releases, DR exercises, patching).

  
  


• 
  

  Collaborate for Stability: Work closely with development, GIS, network, and business teams to support disaster recovery planning, capacity reviews, and system upgrades, ensuring high availability and performance.

  
  


• 
  

  Lead Process Improvement: Continuously improve production support processes through detailed documentation, automation, and a focus on platform resiliency and scalability.

• Hourly Rate: 60$-65$ per hour
  This range reflects base compensation and may vary based on location, market conditions, experience, and candidate qualifications.
