This role operates across network engineering, support, and operations, ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture and CIO-level initiatives. Solutions Engineers do not work directly with application teams but influence technology direction through infrastructure design, automation, and cross-functional coordination. They are often promoted from Technical Architect roles and excel with a holistic understanding of operational scope and delivery.
Key Responsibilities: Partner with infrastructure, network, and operations teams to validate hardware and system readiness
Define solution specifications including scope, timeline, and technical dependencies
Guide engineering teams in developing and presenting practical infrastructure designs
Build frameworks that enable cross-functional input and sustained collaboration
Evaluate current technologies and propose improvements aligned with enterprise architecture
Document and track requirements for changes impacting customer experience
Support project managers with progress tracking, risk identification, and implementation metrics
Anticipate and resolve technical constraints across project lifecycles
Required Qualifications:- Bachelors in Computer Science, Electronics, Communications, or Information Technology
- 7-10 years of hands-on experience in infrastructure, cloud, and systems engineering, preferably within financial services
- Strong Windows Server and IIS administration skills
- Experience managing and analyzing data on RDBMS platforms
- Advanced PowerShell scripting capabilities
- Proficiency in planning, designing, and documenting solutions within Agile delivery frameworks
- Working knowledge of application containers (.NET/IIS)
- Demonstrated success in architecting solutions for complex infrastructure challenges
- Proven ability to manage change, defect tracking, and environment coordination across test and production
Technical Expertise:- Proficient in Terraform, including real-world implementation and adherence to best practices
- Experience in provisioning infrastructure across public cloud platforms (AWS, Google Cloud Platform, Azure) utilizing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices with Terraform.
- Hands-on experience with Ansible for infrastructure provisioning and configuration management
- Skilled in DEVOPS and CLOUDOPS practices, including environment orchestration and release coordination
- Experienced in extracting configurations from servers, firewalls, load balancers, middleware (Tomcat, WebSphere), and storage platforms
- Advanced use of Ansible Playbooks and XL Release for deployment automation
- Strong Windows and RHEL system administration background
- Full-stack Java development experience on UNIX and Windows platforms
- Automation expertise using PowerShell and BladeLogic on Windows systems
- Middleware architecture integration across IIS/.NET and Java platforms
- Network and hardware architecture design for enterprise environments
- Proficient with Visual Studio Code, code deployment methodologies, and version-controlled delivery pipelines
Work Schedule:- Standard onshore hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (ET)
- Flexibility to support extended hours as needed
- In-office presence required three days per week
