Summary

Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled Java Developer to support the modernization of the CMW application from Perl/MySQL to Java/React/MariaDB on an AWS platform. The ideal candidate will be hands-on in full stack development, working collaboratively with cross-functional teams to design, develop, test, and deploy software solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

Designing and Developing Software – Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code to build new applications or enhance existing features. Participate in full stack development (Java backend, React frontend).
Testing and Quality Assurance – Conduct unit, integration, and system testing; debug and troubleshoot issues. Collaborate with QA teams and participate in code reviews to ensure high-quality deliverables.
Documentation – Create clear and comprehensive documentation for code, APIs, and system architecture to support maintenance and knowledge sharing.
Deployment and Support – Package and deploy modules to testing or production environments. Monitor applications post-release and provide timely support for operational issues.

Mandatory Skills:

Java (Full Stack)

API and Web Services development
Application testing processes

Desired Skills:

Perl programming experience
AWS Government Cloud deployment experience (Terraform)
Construction Management domain knowledge
Experience with school facilities programs
Familiarity with the existing CMW application
