Supporting: Large Financial Services Client
Location: McLean, VA (Onsite)
Assignment Type: Contract Only
Duration: Approximately 1 year (with plans to extend)
Role Overview:This role focuses on building and evolving a shared Angular component library that drives consistent, accessible, and high-quality user interfaces. The Developer-UX User Interface Professional partners closely with designers and developers to translate sophisticated UX requirements into scalable, reusable frontend solutions. The position plays a key role in setting UI standards, improving performance and accessibility, and supporting teams consuming the component framework.
Key Responsibilities:- Design, develop, and maintain reusable Angular components (v16+) within a shared library
- Collaborate with UX/UI designers to implement complex design specifications and interactions
- Establish and enforce frontend UI standards and best practices
- Ensure accessibility compliance (WCAG), cross-browser compatibility, and responsive behavior
- Package, version, test, and publish libraries using CI/CD pipelines and Artifactory
- Write and maintain unit, integration, and end-to-end tests
- Refactor and optimize components for scalability, performance, and maintainability
- Integrate third-party libraries and collaborate with backend developers as needed
- Provide documentation, troubleshooting support, and mentorship to component consumers
- Participate in Agile ceremonies, code reviews, and continuous improvement efforts
Qualifications:- Strong frontend focus with proficiency in Angular (most recent four versions, v16+)
- Proficient in JavaScript, HTML, and CSS with advanced layout techniques
- Experience building UI frameworks, standards, or shared component libraries
- React experience preferred; some backend exposure (Java, Spring Boot, SQL) is a plus
- Experience working in Agile or Waterfall development environments preferred
- Excellent communication, documentation, and collaboration skills
- Self-starter with strong problem-solving ability and attention to detail
Compensation and Benefits: The pay rate for this position is between $54.00 and $66.13 per hour. Please note that the final rate may be contingent on experience and other factors.
