Role Overview
We are seeking an IT Business Analyst to support a Financial Data System which serves as a System of Record for project planning, funding, and forecasting. This role requires a goal-oriented and self-driven individual who can collaborate with business users, product owners, and technical teams to translate business needs into functional specifications and drive project success within an Agile framework.
Key Responsibilities
- *Create high-quality user stories following Agile best practices and maintain documentation including process flows, system diagrams, and data mappings.
- Collaborate with business users and subject matter experts to elicit, analyze, and document business requirements through interviews, workshops, and process reviews.
- Translate business needs into detailed user stories, acceptance criteria, use cases, and functional specifications.
- Serve as a liaison between business and technical teams, facilitating discussions to resolve questions and ensure a shared understanding of requirements.
- Work with development teams to clarify requirements during design and implementation, and assist QA teams by reviewing test cases.
- Support sprint planning, backlog grooming, and other Agile ceremonies.
- Develop and maintain PL/SQL Packages, Stored Procedures, Functions, and Triggers in Oracle 19c.
- Perform tuning and optimization of SQL and PL/SQL code.
Required Qualifications
Experience:- A minimum of 10 years of professional experience.
- 3-7 years of experience as a Business Analyst, Systems Analyst, or a similar role.
- Demonstrated experience designing solution approaches for large-scale enterprise systems.
- Experience providing code reviews and mentoring across multiple agile teams.
Technical Skills:- Strong experience with Oracle packages, procedures, functions, and analytics functions.
- Proficiency in developing and maintaining PL/SQL packages, stored procedures, functions, triggers, and SQL statements in Oracle 19c.
- Experience with Co-pilot for code writing and unit testing.
- Knowledge of migrating to CI/CD with platforms such as Horizon, BitBucket, or Artifactory.
- Strong knowledge of SDLC methodologies, with a preference for Agile/Scrum.
Functional Skills:- Experience writing user stories, acceptance criteria, and functional requirements.
- Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to analyze complex business problems and translate them into actionable requirements.
