Guidewire Test Lead

Location: Hartford, CT (remote is being considered)
Compensation: Up to $135,000 (USD)

Must have Property and Casualty insurance experience.
About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Guidewire Test Lead to support a large-scale Property & Casualty insurance transformation for our client. This role requires deep hands-on Guidewire testing expertise, strong leadership capabilities, and the ability to define and drive end-to-end testing strategy across complex enterprise programs.
Must-Have Technical & Functional Skills
  • Guidewire Certified professional
  • 10+ years of experience in Guidewire testing
  • Strong experience in the Property & Casualty (P&C) Insurance domain
  • Proven hands-on testing experience in Guidewire applications
  • Experience leading and managing offshore testing teams
  • Expertise in building end-to-end test strategies for large, complex programs
  • Demonstrated ability to drive:
    • Test automation
    • Performance testing
    • Data testing
    • Integration testing
    • Test reporting and metrics
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Key Roles & Responsibilities
Test Leadership
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive test strategy aligned with business objectives and project timelines
  • Act as overall Test Lead across multiple testing phases
Test Planning & Execution
  • Analyze business and functional requirements to create:
    • Test strategies
    • Test plans
    • Test evaluation reports
    • Accurate effort and resource estimations
  • Oversee execution of:
    • System Integration Testing (SIT)
    • Functional Testing
    • Regression Testing
    • User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
    • Production support testing
Quality Assurance & Risk Management
  • Define and enforce quality standards across all deliverables
  • Identify testing risks and proactively implement mitigation plans
  • Support toll-gate approvals and make go / no-go decisions based on test results
