Are you an IT professional who thrives on ownership, autonomy, and being the go-to technical expert? A leading manufacturing organization is seeking a dedicated IT Administrator to take full ownership of our onsite IT operations.
Serving as the sole onsite IT presence for a tight-knit facility of approximately 30 end-users, you will have a direct impact on day-to-day operations by managing everything from high-level system availability to hands-on end-user support. This is a highly stable, daytime role with no on-call rotation expected, offering a rare balance of true technical ownership and excellent work-life balance.

responsibilities:
- Infrastructure & Support: Manage the daily operations of the local computer network, core systems, and IT helpdesk, ensuring high system uptime and data integrity.
- Systems Administration: Administer core systems including VMware, Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, backups, and endpoint security.
- Environment Management: Oversee the Microsoft 365 environment (emails, Teams, SharePoint, and user accounts) alongside intranet functionality.
- Lifecycle & Asset Management: Coordinate employee onboarding/offboarding (hardware, software, system access) and manage overall IT assets, upgrades, and vendor relationships.
- Security & Compliance: Monitor security incidents, manage access control, maintain system security plans (SSPs), and partner with corporate info-sec teams to enforce compliance, audit readiness, and secure data handling.
- Operational Continuity: Design, test, and maintain systems supporting local operational workflows while keeping technical documentation thoroughly updated.
qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of hands-on working experience in IT support and systems administration.
- Demonstrated experience managing infrastructure, active directory, firewalls/networks, and resolving diverse end-user issues under tight deadlines.
- Prior experience supporting IT operations within a manufacturing or production environment is highly preferred. - Preferred
- Advanced experience setting up, migrating, or heavily configuring a Microsoft 365 environment from scratch. - Preferred
- A degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical field is preferable.
