Description Position Summary: We are seeking an experienced Systems Engineer with 5+ years of hands-on expertise supporting and managing Windows and Linux servers, VMware environments, Citrix technologies, and Microsoft Exchange. This role requires a strong technical background, the ability to work independently or as part of a team, excellent troubleshooting skills, and a commitment to delivering reliable IT infrastructure solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, deploy, maintain, and support Windows and Linux server environments.
- Manage and administer VMware infrastructure, including provisioning, monitoring, and upgrading virtual environments.
- Implement, configure, and support Citrix technologies such as Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops (XenApp/XenDesktop), Citrix ADC (NetScaler), and related solutions.
- Oversee Microsoft Exchange environments, handling installation, migration, patching, and troubleshooting.
- Monitor system performance and ensure compliance with organizational security policies.
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network issues quickly and effectively.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on infrastructure projects and deployments.
- Maintain accurate system documentation and proactively recommend improvements or enhancements.
- Participate in on-call rotation and provide escalation support as needed.
Requirements Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant systems engineering experience.
- Proficient with Windows Server (2012/2016/2019/2022) and Linux distributions (such as Red Hat, CentOS, or Ubuntu).
- Demonstrated experience administering VMware vSphere environments.
- Solid understanding of Citrix technologies, including Citrix Virtual Apps/Desktops and Citrix ADC.
- In-depth experience managing Microsoft Exchange (2016/2019/Online).
- Strong troubleshooting and performance tuning skills across operating systems, storage, and virtualization platforms.
- Familiarity with patch management tools, backup and recovery solutions, and security best practices.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred:
- Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Windows Server, VMware VCP, Citrix CCA/CCP, Linux certifications).
- Experience with PowerShell, Bash, or automation scripting for system administration.
- Knowledge of cloud platforms and hybrid infrastructure a plus.
