Summary

We're looking for a detail-oriented Configuration Analyst to support hardware configuration management in a fast-paced defense environment. This role is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys managing technical data, improving processes, and contributing to the integrity of complex engineering documentation.
Responsibilities
  • Manage changes to approved configurations through a structured and measurable change control process.
  • Support the development, delivery, and maintenance of the engineering technical data package.
  • Apply configuration management processes in alignment with established CM plans and procedures.
  • Assist with configuration management and quality audits to help ensure compliance and accuracy.
  • Prepare reports, metrics, and documentation using Microsoft Office tools, with an emphasis on Excel-based analysis.
  • Work with engineering, manufacturing, and other cross-functional teams to coordinate configuration-related activities.
  • Help maintain bill of materials structures and related configuration data as needed.
  • Use sound judgment to solve problems of moderate scope with guidance from policies and procedures.
Skills
  • Experience using a Product Data Management (PDM) or Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) system.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong attention to detail and accurate data handling.
  • Effective time management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to collaborate professionally with internal teams, customers, and suppliers.
  • Associate's degree in a technical field or equivalent configuration management experience.
  • At least 2 years of relevant work experience.
Preferred Skills
  • Background in defense or government-related environments.
  • Experience with PTC Windchill or similar PLM tools.
  • Advanced Excel skills, including complex formulas and reporting.
  • Formal training in configuration data management.
  • Knowledge of configuration management and drawing standards.
  • Familiarity with BOM structures and CMMI requirements.
  • STEM bachelor's degree or additional years of configuration management experience.
