Neos is Seeking a Sr. Technical Business Analyst for a long-term contract role with our client in Austin, TX.

Position will be hybrid 3 days remote with 2 days (Tuesdays and Wednesdays) required to be onsite (Austin, Texas 78751)

DESCRIPTION OF SERVICES

8 or more years of experience, relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals, independently performs a variety of complicated tasks, a wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.

Minimum 5 years of experience served as a liaison between the Business community and Customer IT Teams (i.e., Architecture, Project Delivery, Application Sustain, etc.). Strong experience as a Data Analyst in analyzing raw data, and as a Business Analyst in requirements gathering, understanding technology, and any project management experience with PMP are a huge plus.

Reviews, analyzes, and evaluates business systems and user needs. Formulates systems to parallel overall business strategies. Experienced with business process reengineering and identifying new applications of technology to business problems to make business more effective. Familiar with industry standard business process mapping and reengineering. Prepares solution options, risk identification, and financial analyses such as cost/benefit, ROI, buy/build, etc. Writes detailed description of user needs, program functions, and steps required to develop or modify computer programs.

This position also requires working closely with IT and Contract Management Support (CMS) staff to develop and maintain clear, user-friendly documentation for internal applications. This role focuses on translating application functionality, enhancements, and updates into guides and reference materials that help end users effectively use the systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with IT developers, analysts, and other stakeholders to understand application functionality and enhancements
  • Develop and maintain user guides, how to documents, and other application related documentation
  • Create and maintain visual aids, including screenshots and step by step visuals, to support written instructions
  • Update documentation and visual materials to reflect new features, enhancements, or system changes developed by IT staff
  • Organize and present technical information in a clear, concise, and accessible manner for non-technical users
  • Ensure all documentation and visual content is accurate, current, and aligned with application functionality
  • Participate in meetings, demos, or walkthroughs to gather information on system changes and updates
  • Assist in updates and development of training materials


CANDIDATE SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

8 years Required Extensive experience reviewing, analyzing, and evaluating business systems and user needs

8 years Required Experience and thorough understanding of the business analysis areas of knowledge and its associated activities and tasks

8 years Required Experience participating in software development reviews and providing advice and assistance to other team members in analysis, design, and test

8 years Required Experience performing or participating in unit testing, support system testing, and user acceptance testing

8 years Required Extensive skill in planning and organizing work to meet goals and complete multiple assignments without compromising accuracy

8 years Required Experience in software development lifecycle methodologies

8 years Preferred Extensive skill in effective verbal and written communications with both IT and business professionals and clients

2 years Preferred Experience creating user focused technical or instructional documentation

2 years Preferred Experience developing or maintaining screenshots or other visual aids to support user documentation

2 years Preferred Ability to work effectively with staff and translate technical concepts into plain language
