Job Description Summary
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Oracle Fusion Cloud Pricing Functional Expert to lead the end-to-end design, implementation, configuration, and enhancement of Oracle Fusion Cloud Pricing solutions. The consultant will work closely with business stakeholders, Sales Operations, and technical teams to translate complex pricing strategies and business requirements into scalable and effective Oracle Cloud solutions. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on expertise in Oracle Fusion Cloud Pricing and Order Management, including the ability to design and configure surcharge, discount, markup, pricing rules, and pricing strategy functionality.
Key Business Requirement
The client has a critical requirement to implement surcharge functionality within Oracle Fusion Cloud Pricing to address increasing costs of materials such as aluminum and other commodities and appropriately pass those costs on to customers.
The solution should support:
- Assigning specific item numbers to individual surcharge programs.
- Creating unique names and definitions for each surcharge.
- Applying surcharges only to the items assigned to the applicable surcharge program.
- Supporting both Discount % and Markup % logic.
- Applying surcharge calculations at either the individual item level or the overall surcharge/program level.
- Supporting a single discount or markup percentage across an entire surcharge table.
- Supporting individual surcharge percentages or amounts at the line-item level.
- Presenting the surcharge as a separate line item on the customer invoice.
- Aggregating all applicable items associated with a surcharge, applying the appropriate percentage logic to the revenue at the line level, and presenting the calculated surcharge as a single line item at the bottom of the invoice.
Key Responsibilities Architecture & Solution Design
- Lead functional workshops to gather and analyze business requirements.
- Design end-to-end pricing strategies and functional solutions within Oracle Fusion Cloud Pricing and Order Management.
- Translate complex pricing, surcharge, discount, and markup requirements into scalable Oracle Cloud configurations.
- Provide functional leadership throughout implementation and upgrade activities.
Oracle Pricing Configuration
- Configure and maintain Price Lists, Discount Lists, Shipping Charge Lists, Pricing Strategies, Tiered Pricing, Attribute-Based Pricing, Currency Conversion, and Matrix Classes.
- Design and configure surcharge functionality based on item, percentage, markup, and revenue-based requirements.
- Configure pricing rules and pricing calculations to support complex business scenarios.
- Ensure pricing configurations meet business, financial, and operational requirements.
Pricing Algorithms & Customization
- Design, configure, and maintain Oracle Pricing Algorithms, Service Mappings, and Pricing Rules.
- Utilize Groovy scripting and native Oracle business logic engines where required.
- Troubleshoot and optimize custom pricing logic and calculations.
- Develop functional solutions for requirements that cannot be addressed through standard configuration alone.
Integration & Cross-Module Alignment
- Ensure seamless functional integration between Oracle Pricing and:
- Oracle Order Management Cloud
- Oracle CPQ Cloud
- Oracle Subscription Management
- Oracle Procurement
- Oracle Receivables (AR)
- Oracle Financials / GL
- Collaborate with technical teams to validate integrations and end-to-end pricing flows.
Testing & Documentation
- Lead and participate in System Integration Testing (SIT) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
- Develop test scenarios, test scripts, and validation criteria.
- Prepare Functional Design Documents (FDDs) and configuration workbooks, including MC050/DS050 documentation.
- Provide end-user training and support business stakeholders during solution adoption.
Production Support & Optimization
- Troubleshoot critical pricing and order management issues.
- Support post-go-live enhancements and optimization activities.
- Analyze pricing performance and resolve configuration or functional issues.
- Support quarterly Oracle Cloud release updates and assess their impact on existing pricing functionality.
Required Skills & Qualifications Core Expertise
- Deep functional expertise in Oracle Fusion Cloud Pricing and Order Management.
- Strong understanding of Oracle Fusion Cloud SCM pricing processes and configurations.
- Hands-on experience designing and implementing complex pricing solutions, including surcharges, discounts, markups, and pricing rules.
Experience
- 5+ years of experience implementing Oracle Fusion Cloud SCM/Pricing solutions.
- Minimum of 2 full lifecycle Oracle Fusion Cloud implementations.
- Strong experience with Oracle Fusion Pricing configuration and solution design.
- Hands-on experience with Pricing Algorithms, Service Mappings, Pricing Rules, and Groovy scripting.
- Experience translating business pricing requirements into Oracle Fusion Cloud functional solutions.
Adjacent Module Knowledge
- Working knowledge of Oracle CPQ Cloud.
- Understanding of Oracle Subscription Management.
- Familiarity with Oracle Financials, Accounts Receivable (AR), and General Ledger (GL).
- Knowledge of Oracle BPM and related business process functionality.
- Understanding of Oracle Order Management integrations and end-to-end order-to-cash processes.
Preferred Certifications
- Oracle Fusion Cloud SCM / Order Management Implementation Professional Certification.
- Oracle Cloud Pricing Implementation Certification.
Preferred Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate is a hands-on Oracle Fusion Cloud Pricing functional expert who can independently lead pricing workshops, design solutions, configure Oracle Pricing, and work with technical teams to deliver complex pricing and surcharge requirements. Strong communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills are essential.
