Job Description Summary
We are looking for a Senior Oracle Fusion Cloud Pricing Functional Expert to lead the end-to-end design, implementation, and enhancement of our Oracle Fusion Pricing solution architecture. In this role, you will collaborate closely with business stakeholders, sales operations, and technical teams to translate complex pricing strategies—specifically addressing market fluctuations like rising aluminum and raw material costs—into robust, scalable Oracle Cloud solutions.
Our immediate, critical objective is configuring Oracle Fusion Pricing to dynamically handle specialized customer surcharges that mimic discount list behaviors while generating separate, aggregated invoice line items.
Core Business Challenge & Functional Requirements
The primary business driver for this engagement is the implementation of automated, flexible surcharges to pass rising material costs (e.g., aluminum) directly to customers. The ideal candidate will architect and configure a solution meeting the following criteria:
Surcharge Program Structure: Assign specific item numbers to dedicated surcharge programs, ensuring each surcharge has a unique identifier and restricts applicability strictly to assigned items.
Percentage-Based Adjustments: Support both Discount % and Mark-Up % models at either the individual item number level or uniformly across the entire surcharge table.
Line-Item Invoicing: Unlike traditional discount lists that adjust base prices directly, the surcharge must appear as a separate, distinct line item on the invoice.
Aggregation Logic: The surcharge engine must aggregate all applicable items attached to the program, apply individual percentage logic to the revenue at the line level, and total the result into a single consolidated line item at the bottom of the order/invoice.
Key Responsibilities
Architecture & Solution Design: Lead interactive workshops to map business requirements, define end-to-end pricing strategies, and architect custom pricing solutions within Oracle Cloud Pricing and Order Management to address raw material surcharges.
Core Configuration: Set up and maintain advanced pricing components including Price Lists, Surcharge/Discount Lists, Shipping Charge Lists, Tiered and Attribute-based Pricing, Currency Conversion, Pricing Strategies, and Matrix Classes.
Algorithm Customization: Design, configure, and maintain custom Pricing Algorithms, Service Mappings, and Pricing Rules using Groovy scripts or native business logic engines to achieve the required surcharge aggregation and separate-line invoicing behavior.
Integration & Cross-Module Alignment: Ensure seamless functional integration of Oracle Pricing with Order Management Cloud, CPQ (Configure, Price, Quote), Procurement, and Receivables (AR) for accurate invoice generation.
Testing & User Adoption: Lead System Integration Testing (SIT), User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and end-user training. Draft precise functional design documents (FDDs) and configuration workbooks (MC050/DS050).
Support & Optimization: Troubleshoot business-critical functional issues, resolve performance bottlenecks, and manage post-go-live enhancements through quarterly Oracle Cloud release updates.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Core Expertise: Deep functional mastery of Oracle Fusion Cloud Order Management and Pricing Cloud, with explicit hands-on experience configuring complex pricing structures, modifiers, and surcharge logic.
Experience: 5+ years implementing Oracle Fusion Cloud SCM/Pricing, with a minimum of 2 full lifecycle implementations.
Technical Familiarity: Hands-on knowledge of Pricing Algorithms, Service Mappings, and Groovy script logic required to build customized pricing logic.
Adjacent Modules: Familiarity with CPQ Cloud, Subscription Management, Financials (AR/GL), and Oracle BPM.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, Supply Chain Management, or equivalent work experience.
