This position is primarily remote. However, the hiring manager prefers candidates who can attend onsite collaboration every Tuesday. Candidates considered for hybrid support must reside within a 2-hour drive (100-mile radius) of Sacramento, CA. Hybrid capability will be considered secondary after evaluation of mandatory technical requirements.
Provide 24/7 on-call and after-hours support as required.
Lead primary SAP BASIS administration for enterprise applications.
Provide secondary administration support for additional enterprise systems.
Troubleshoot and resolve system outages, performance issues, and incidents.
Serve as primary escalation point for SAP platform issues.
Coordinate system installations, upgrades, patches, backups, and restores.
Perform OS, database, application, and client tool patching and migrations.
Test patches in non-production environments before deployment.
Ensure systems are configured according to enterprise standards.
Maintain application availability in accordance with SLAs.
Perform system sizing and capacity planning.
Act as vendor liaison for bug fixes, licensing, and maintenance.
Provide status reports and updates to management.
Support business users and internal teams with troubleshooting.
Install new application releases and version upgrades.
Monitor and troubleshoot hardware and software related to SAP platforms.
Develop and maintain technical documentation and administration procedures.
Manage application security and user administration.
Provide desktop support and user training when required.
Evaluate software and hardware solutions and provide recommendations.
Automate administrative processes where possible.
Coordinate with security, networking, operations, and development teams.
Configure and monitor batch jobs and scripts.
Participate in disaster recovery planning and testing.
Maintain fault tolerance and DR strategies for SAP systems.
Ability to support hybrid work every Tuesday onsite for candidates within 100 miles of Sacramento, CA.
Current SAP certifications related to the supported systems are required.
Bachelor s Degree in Computer Science, MIS, or related field, or equivalent experience.
Strong knowledge of SAP cloud offerings and hyperscaler environments.
Expert use of SAP Solution Manager for monitoring and documentation.
Experience with SAP system refresh processes including:
Native SAP tools
LAMA
SAP PCA
Experience administering NetWeaver Java solutions, including:
NWDI
EP 7.0
Adobe Document Services

Web Dispatcher
SLD
Experience with SAP Change Management:
SAP administration experience in:
DB2 / AIX environments
