Microsoft 365 GCC

Role Summary We are seeking experienced Microsoft 365 GCC High specialists to lead migration, configuration, and onboarding projects for defense contractors and federal clients pursuing or maintaining CMMC 2.0 compliance (primarily Levels 1–3). You will drive secure transitions from commercial Microsoft 365 (O365) to GCC High tenants, ensuring full alignment with NIST SP 800-171, DFARS, ITAR, and FedRAMP requirements. This is a high-impact, technical role supporting multiple active CMMC projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end migrations from commercial Microsoft 365 to GCC High, including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, OneDrive, Entra ID (formerly Azure AD), Intune, Defender for Endpoint, and related workloads.
• Design, configure, and optimize GCC High tenants for CMMC compliance: implement security baselines, data loss prevention (DLP), conditional access, sensitivity labels, retention policies, and Zero Trust architecture.
• Perform gap analysis, pre-migration assessments, and post-migration validation against CMMC controls; produce compliance documentation and evidence for C3PAO assessments.
• Handle tenant provisioning, user/group migration, data classification, and cutover using tools such as BitTitan MigrationWiz, ShareGate, AvePoint, or Microsoft native tooling.
• Automate processes with PowerShell, Microsoft Graph API, and Graph Explorer for bulk operations, reporting, and governance.
• Onboard clients: conduct workshops, develop runbooks, provide knowledge transfer, and support hyper-care periods.
• Collaborate with compliance, security, and project teams to ensure migrations meet DoD impact-level requirements and client-specific controls.
• Stay current with Microsoft GCC High roadmap, CMMC updates, and emerging government cloud features (e.g., new GCC High Business Premium SKUs).
• Troubleshoot complex issues involving cross-tenant federation, hybrid identity, and sovereign cloud limitations.

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on Microsoft 365 administration experience, with at least 2+ years specifically in GCC High or Azure Government environments.
• Proven track record of successful commercial-to-GCC High migrations (referenceable projects preferred).
• Deep expertise in CMMC 2.0, NIST SP 800-171, DFARS , and related frameworks; experience supporting CMMC Level 2/3 readiness is required.
• Microsoft certifications strongly preferred: Microsoft 365 Certified: Enterprise Administrator Expert (MS-102), Microsoft 365 Certified: Security Administrator Associate (MS-500), Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104), or equivalent government-cloud variants.
• Strong scripting skills (PowerShell, Graph API) and experience with migration tools (BitTitan, ShareGate, etc.).

• Excellent communication and client-facing skills; ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
