Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Associate Principal AI Engineer to help advance next-generation Generative AI and Agentic AI capabilities. This role will focus on evolving AI platform capabilities, developing and enhancing AI services, driving enterprise-wide AI adoption, and providing technical expertise to support AI-driven digital transformation initiatives.

The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience in Python, AWS AI services, Generative AI, Agentic AI, cloud-native development, and AI platform engineering, along with the ability to collaborate with engineering teams and business stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Contribute to the enhancement and evolution of AWS-based AI platforms and related operational services.
• Support the onboarding of development teams onto AI and cloud platforms.
• Design and develop production-ready Generative AI and Agentic AI solutions using Python and AWS technologies.
• Translate complex business and technical challenges into clearly defined technical requirements and solutions.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance to AI development teams delivering business transformation initiatives.
• Apply software engineering best practices and follow established Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) processes.
• Evaluate and leverage appropriate AWS AI services and cloud infrastructure based on business and technical requirements.
• Contribute to the development and enhancement of AI governance, standards, and operational processes.
• Identify opportunities for innovation and promote the adoption of emerging AI technologies.
• Support enterprise-wide AI adoption and enablement initiatives.
• Collaborate with software engineering teams, business stakeholders, and external partners to design and deliver scalable AI solutions.
• Promote continuous learning, innovation, operational excellence, and best engineering practices.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, or a related technical field.
• 10+ years of relevant professional experience.
• At least 3 years of hands-on experience designing and delivering end-to-end AI solutions.
• Strong proficiency in Python for production-grade AI application development.
• Strong understanding of Generative AI technologies, LLMs, and Agentic AI frameworks.
• Hands-on experience with Strands SDK, LangChain, A2A, and MCP.
• Experience across the AI/ML model lifecycle, including planning, development/training, deployment, monitoring, and maintenance.
• Strong knowledge of AWS AI services and cloud infrastructure.
• Proficiency with Kubernetes and Docker.
• Experience collaborating with technical and business stakeholders to design and implement AI solutions.
• Relevant professional certifications in AI, AWS, or cloud technologies are desirable.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working within the insurance industry or other regulated environments.
• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, or a related field.
• Hands-on experience building AI solutions using AWS AgentCore.
• Experience with enterprise AI platforms, governance, and cloud-native AI architectures.
