Mid-Level BI Engineer

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking a Remote Mid-Level BI Engineer. We're looking for a Mid-Level BI Engineer to join a growing retail/ecommerce organization. This is a hands-on data role focused on building and improving the infrastructure behind reporting, rather than simply creating dashboards.

What You'll Do:
* Develop and optimize data transformations using SQL and Snowflake
* Build and maintain Looker/LookML models, explores, and semantic layers
* Improve data quality, governance, performance, and documentation
* Integrate data across ecommerce, ERP, WMS, marketing, and fulfillment systems
* Partner with Finance, Merchandising, Operations, and Marketing on reporting needs
* Help maintain clean, reliable data pipelines from source systems through reporting

REQUIREMENTS:
* 5+ years of BI/Analytics Engineering experience
* 4+ years of advanced SQL, ideally within Snowflake
* Strong Looker/LookML experience, including models, explores, derived tables, and performance optimization
* Hands-on retail/ecommerce data experience, including orders, inventory, fulfillment, returns, and customer data
* Experience with Shopify or similar ecommerce platforms plus an ERP such as NetSuite, Dynamics, or SAP
* Experience with ELT/transformation tools such as Daasity, dbt, Fivetran, or Matillion
* Strong understanding of data governance, quality, and lineage
* Strong communication and ability to work independently
* Ability to work directly with Finance, Operations, and Merchandising teams to translate business needs into scalable data solutions

Nice to Have:
* Daasity and/or dbt
* Toolio, WMS, or merchandise planning systems
* GA4, Klaviyo, Yotpo, or Avalara
* Experience working independently or on a small, hands-on data team
* Experience supporting new data source and system integrations

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
