Pay: $72.76/hr. on W2
Location: Englewood, CO
Duration: 6 Months, Temp to Hire
Schedule: Full-time (40 hrs/week)


Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and innovative Senior Mechanical Engineer to join a cutting-edge New Aircraft Design Program team. This role is pivotal in shaping the future of military aviation by leading the design and development of next-generation aircraft. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of aerospace engineering principles, extensive experience in aircraft design, and a passion for pushing the boundaries of technology to achieve optimal performance, safety, and efficiency.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the conceptualization, design, and development of advanced aircraft systems and structures.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including aerodynamics, propulsion, avionics, materials, and manufacturing.
  • Research, design, develop, test, certify, and improve aerospace products and systems throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Develop complex aerodynamic components, structures, and systems using advanced engineering tools.
  • Apply engineering analysis techniques such as FEA, CFD, and thermal analysis to validate designs.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices in mechanical design and manufacturing processes.


Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
  • 10+ years of relevant experience in mechanical or aerospace engineering.
  • Strong understanding of engineering principles and practices.
  • Proficiency with Computer-Aided Engineering tools (e.g., CATIA).
  • Experience working in multi-disciplinary design and development teams.


Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) per ASME Y14.5.
  • Knowledge of engineering simulation tools (FEA, CFD, thermal analysis).
  • Background in Aerospace and Defense industry.
  • Familiarity with parametric design, model-based definition, material selection, and production processes.
