Location: Dearborn, MI (Hybrid)


Pay Rate: $46.06+/hour

We are seeking an Electrical Product Engineer to support the development, testing, and launch of advanced Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) technologies for a leading automotive manufacturer. This contract opportunity is ideal for an engineer with experience in automotive electrical systems, product validation, and wireless technologies.

Key Responsibilities


  • Develop and execute Design Verification Plans (DVPs) for TPMS hardware, software, and systems testing on bench, HIL (Hardware-in-the-Loop), and vehicle platforms.

  • Support product development activities, design reviews, and technical issue resolution with internal teams and suppliers.

  • Create and review quality documentation and ensure compliance with FMVSS, ECE, RF certification, homologation, and other regulatory requirements.

  • Track testing progress, issues, and milestones using FEDE and JIRA.

  • Collaborate with vehicle integration, chassis, manufacturing, and supplier teams to ensure successful product implementation and launch.

  • Support APQP, PPAP, production readiness activities, and travel as needed to supplier and manufacturing locations.

  • Assist with configuration validation, FEDE BOM updates, Netcom Message Lists, and related engineering documentation.


Qualifications


  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in automotive electrical systems design, development, or testing.

  • Experience with hardware, software, and system-level validation.

  • Knowledge of wireless technologies and RF systems is preferred.

  • Experience with CANalyzer or similar vehicle network analysis tools is a plus.

  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and project coordination skills.


Work Schedule


  • Hybrid schedule: Monday-Thursday in office; Friday flexible based on business needs.
