Overview
Seeking a Senior DLP Analyst to support enterprise-wide data protection initiatives within the Cybersecurity Governance, Risk & Compliance organization.
This role will lead the design, implementation, and optimization of Data Loss Prevention (DLP) capabilities, with a focus on Zscaler DLP and Microsoft Purview, helping mature data protection posture across cloud, endpoint, and network environments.
The ideal candidate blends architecture, hands-on engineering, and strategic advisory expertise, with the ability to operate effectively in a complex enterprise and M&A-driven environment.
DLP Architecture & Design
Lead the design of scalable DLP solutions leveraging:
Zscaler DLP (ZIA/ZPA)
Microsoft Purview (Information Protection, Endpoint DLP, Insider Risk)
Define enterprise DLP policies aligned to:
Data classification frameworks
Regulatory requirements
Business risk priorities Implementation & Optimization
Configure and deploy DLP controls across:
Zscaler (ZIA/ZPA)
Microsoft ecosystem (M365, endpoints, SaaS/cloud apps)
Continuously tune policies to reduce false positives and business disruption Data Protection Strategy
Partner with security leadership to evolve enterprise data protection roadmap
Drive initiatives across:
Data classification and labeling
Insider risk management
Governance alignment
Align DLP with Zero Trust and SSE/SASE strategies Monitoring & Incident Response
Analyze DLP alerts and investigate potential data exposure incidents
Provide clear, actionable remediation guidance
Collaborate with SOC and Insider Risk teams on escalation and response workflows Stakeholder Engagement
Deliver executive-level reporting, metrics, and recommendations to leadership Governance & Best Practices
Establish DLP standards, playbooks, and operational processes
Ensure compliance with frameworks such as GDPR, CCPA, HIPAA (as applicable) Required Qualifications
7+ years of experience in Cybersecurity, with deep specialization in Data Loss Prevention
Hands-on expertise with:
Zscaler DLP (ZIA/ZPA) policy creation, deployment, tuning
Microsoft Purview DLP, Endpoint DLP, Insider Risk, Information Protection
Strong understanding of:
Data classification and labeling frameworks
Cloud security (M365, SaaS environments)
Network and endpoint DLP controls
Proven ability to operate at both:
Strategic/architectural level
Hands-on engineering level Preferred Qualifications
Experience in large enterprise / Fortune 500 environments
Familiarity with Zero Trust and SSE/SASE architectures
Knowledge of Azure security services and integrations
Experience supporting regulated or highly compliant environments
Relevant certifications:
CISSP, CCSP
Microsoft Security certifications
Zscaler certifications Success Profile
