Location: Onsite- Seattle, WA
Duration: 6 Months
Team Overview- The team focuses on helping users find and engage with new music content across voice and visual experiences. This includes surfacing new tracks, artists, and recommendations that encourage users to discover and add music to playlists.
Role Overview: Mid-Level Mobile Developer- Experience Level: 3+ years
- This role is a mobile client-focused position supporting discovery experiences on Music. The developer will work closely with backend services but will primarily contribute to mobile application development and client-side integrations.
Mobile Development- Android (Kotlin) - preferred
- iOS (Swift) - required or strongly preferred
- Open to strong iOS engineers who are willing to learn Android
- The ideal candidate has hands-on experience shipping mobile features in production environments and understands mobile performance, reliability, and user experience at scale.
API & Integration Experience- Designing and consuming REST APIs
- Handling authentication, request/response models, and error states
- Integrating mobile clients with backend services. Although this role will not develop backend services, an understanding of backend systems is important for effective collaboration and debugging.
Backend & Supporting Knowledge (Helpful, Not Primary)- Java: Helpful for understanding service designs, debugging issues, and collaborating with backend teams
- JavaScript / TypeScript: Used for supporting tooling, shared logic, or cross-platform components
Systems & Architecture Experience- High-traffic, low-latency systems
- Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) or microservices environments
- Building and operating features that must perform reliably at scale
