The Systems Engineering Integration & Test (SEIT) Team (SEIT) is seeking a Systems Engineer to support and contribute to various projects within the Common Missile Compartment (CMC) Program at various stages throughout the System lifecycle.
The successful candidate will join our team of Systems Engineers working on Fleet Ballistic Missile (FBM) products.
In this role you will serve as a key Systems Engineering team member to assist with integration with other FBM Contractors and Customers in front facing meetings representing CMC Systems Engineering. You will be instrumental in coordinating and supporting cross-functional working groups, integrating input across engineering domains, and ensuring that system-level requirements are met, and milestone impacts from engineering activity needed for verification are understood and communicated.
In addition, you will employ MBSE approaches to develop Systems Engineering products using the Systems Modeling Language (SysML), DOD Architecture Framework (DODAF) and MBSE tools to capture, maintain, and visualize a total system solution.
Other responsibilities include but not limited to:
Support and facilitate cross-functional working groups across customer and contractor teams.
Develop, analyze, verify, and manage system-level requirements throughout the program lifecycle.
Development of documentation for socialization of CMC system solutions for interfaces to other FBM contractors and Customers are generated using appropriate DOD OD and SSPINTs.
Coordinate verification activities, including analysis, testing, and demonstration with internal and external stakeholders.
Organize and integrate objective evidence development and documentation from domain experts.
Collaborate with engineering teams to identify and assess technical risks, and develop mitigation plans.
Generate clear, concise technical documentation and status reports for program stakeholders.
Develop documentation to support working groups, including meeting minutes, action items, and decision records, to gain concurrence and ensure that all stakeholders are informed and aligned.
Play a role in transforming the CMC Program into a fully Model-Based organization, including the rapid implementation of the "Full Digital Thread" from Concept & Requirements all the way through to Model-based Manufacturing, Integration, Verification & Deployment.
Utilize Model-Based Systems Engineering software such as Cameo as a tool for requirements verification to support a pathfinder Model-Based Requirements Verification effort.
Support as needed on engineering efforts within a variety of CMC projects for milestone reviews.
Support various CMC projects that are in manufacture and test phases to integrate across key stakeholders.
Basic Qualifications
Familiarity with Confluence, Jira and/or other Agile tools and processes
Familiarity with MBSE tools and common modeling approaches
Demonstrated ability to learn new software tools and applications
Ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret Security Clearance; ship required
Desired skills
Bachelors degree from an accredited college in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline
Knowledge of Systems Engineering principles and practices
Master's Degree in relevant field
Familiarity with risk and opportunity management policies and procedures
Experience with opportunity management methodologies and tools
Experience with DOORS requirements management tool
Systems Modeling software experience (Cameo/MagicDraw/Rhapsody)
Experience with developing products for the Fleet Ballistic Missile (FBM) Program
Experience with process development and deployment
Experience working with cross-functional teams, including engineering, program management, and operations
Missile or space segment design and test experience with one or more subsystems or disciplines outside of Systems Engineering
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong social skills, and ability to build consensus among peers while building solid relationships with team members
Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with multiple priorities and deadlines
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to think critically and creatively
Active DOD clearance

Work Schedule Information
Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
National Pay Statement
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $73,400 - $129,260. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays.
