We are seeking an experienced Senior Scrum Master services to support the organization in delivering a modernized Examiner Workflow Tool. This solution will replace and enhance a legacy system while leveraging AWS cloud services to improve scalability, reliability, and operational efficiency.
The Scrum Master will play a critical role in guiding the team through Agile best practices, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, and ensuring successful product delivery across the full product lifecycle. In addition, the Scrum Master will support requirements capture and assist in refining and maintaining high-quality user stories aligned to business objectives.
Position Responsibilities
The Scrum Master will serve as a servant leader and Agile coach, with responsibilities including:
· Facilitate Scrum ceremonies (Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Reviews, Retrospectives) and ensure effective team engagement.
· Promote Agile best practices and guide the team in adopting and sustaining an Agile mindset.
· Partner closely with Product Owners to ensure backlog clarity, prioritization, and alignment with business goals.
· Capture and refine requirements; assist with writing and updating user stories for the examiner workflow tool.
· Maintain strong backlog hygiene, ensuring stories are well-defined, estimated, and ready for development.
· Identify, track, and remove impediments that may impact delivery timelines or team performance.
· Foster self-organization, accountability, and continuous improvement within the team.
· Support Agile transformation efforts and reinforce cross-functional collaboration.
· Apply Agile frameworks and methodologies including Scrum, Kanban, and SAFe, as appropriate.
· Promote Agile engineering practices such as Continuous Integration, Continuous Testing, Pair Programming, Automated Testing, and other modern delivery techniques.
Position Qualifications
· Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical discipline.
· Minimum of 10 years of experience leading projects or major business/IT initiatives.
· Demonstrated experience serving as a Scrum Master within Agile delivery environments.
· Experience supporting Agile transformation initiatives.
· Minimum of 2 years of experience in IT portfolio management and/or customer relationship management.
· Strong understanding of Agile methodologies, including Scrum, Kanban, and SAFe.
· Professional certification in at least one of the following (or equivalent):
o PMP (Project Management Professional)
o PMI-ACP (Agile Certified Practitioner)
o CSM (Certified Scrum Master)
o SAFe certification (Scaled Agile Framework)
