Role Summary
The Microsoft Hyper V Infrastructure Administrator Architect is a key contributor to a net new infrastructure initiative driven by a strategic migration from VMware to Hyper V. This role is responsible for designing, building, and managing enterprise grade Hyper V environments with a strong emphasis on Microsoft networking segmentation.
The position combines architecture level design with hands on execution, supporting both greenfield buildout and migration activities while partnering closely with technical stakeholders across infrastructure and operations teams.
Key Responsibilities
• Design, deploy, and manage enterprise Microsoft Hyper V infrastructure environments
• Lead infrastructure buildout efforts including host configuration, resource optimization, and system hardening
• Design and implement Microsoft network segmentation using software defined networking concepts
• Support and execute migration activities from VMware environments to Hyper V
• Administer and maintain System Center Virtual Machine Manager environments
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex virtualization and infrastructure issues
• Partner with engineering and operations teams on architecture decisions and implementation plans
Key Requirements
• 5 to 10 years of dedicated, hands on Microsoft Hyper V experience in enterprise environments
• Deep expertise in Hyper V architecture, administration, and virtualization best practices
• Strong experience with Microsoft networking segmentation and software defined networking
• Hands on experience with System Center Virtual Machine Manager
• Solid background in infrastructure design, virtualization, and hardware platforms
• Experience supporting on premises or bare metal infrastructure environments
• Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non technical stakeholders
• Strong problem solving skills, adaptability, and ownership mindset
