Summary

Corvid's Launch Systems team requires the addition of an experienced Fire Control System (FCS)/Aegis Weapon System (AWS) to support our growing product portfolio - and that growth is in both number of products as well as complexity. The engineer will join a matrixed team working to finalize development, test, and ultimately produce launch systems for DoW customers. This position will help drive program execution on time and budget, specifically as it relates to the design, development, and integration of an Aegis-based electronics package for a complex weapon system. This position will work across program management, engineering, and manufacturing team as well as external stakeholders in both Government and Industry and will be responsible for the successful integration of the FCS/AWS into the weapon system.

Your responsibilities will include:
  • Lead the Systems Engineering and Integration of the FCS/AWS with significant coordination across both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Coordinate and manage program activities across multi-functional teams
  • Transition complex data into clear narratives, influencing stakeholders, and delivering reliable schedule products that drive program success (ARTIFACTS)
  • Produce, review and manage engineering documents
  • Prepare technical and position papers, engineering briefs, schedules and risk management documents
  • Assist in the application of innovative digital engineering and agile acquisition processes in the execution of assigned tasks

Requirements:
  • Master's Degree in a STEM Discipline and at least 10 years of experience working similar DoW or Missile Defense programs
  • Experience in developing and managing overall project plans, coordinating with individuals and management across diverse functions
  • Analytical planner with deep expertise in schedule integration, critical path analysis, and risk mitigation
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to provide program oversight and recommendations for resolution of complex technical issues to Senior Leadership within the Program Office and DOW Leadership
  • Familiarity with Navy Weapon Systems is preferred
  • Experience in Microsoft Office products (Excel and PowerPoint)
