Job Description
We are looking for an experienced, hands-on Azure Engineer to support their cloud infrastructure team. This is a true cloud infrastructure team and favor candidates coming from an infrastructure space with hands-on experience with Terraform and Terraform Enterprise.

Top Skills
1) Azure Experience- (Network components of Azure as well as native Azure security tools such as sentinel.)
2) Terraform Experience (Terraform and Terraform Enterprise)
3) Private Endpoint experience

This engineer/solutions architect will:

• Actively participate in requirements gathering, architecture reviews, and design meetings.
• Design, implement, and manage Azure infrastructure, including core components such as VNets, NSGs, route tables, and private endpoints.
• Develop and maintain infrastructure as code using Terraform, including modules, workspaces, and remote state management.
• Work with Terraform Enterprise (TFE) features such as Private Module Registry, Sentinel policies, and RBAC.
• Implement and manage private endpoints in Azure, ensuring secure connectivity to on-premises environments via VPN or ExpressRoute.
• Apply deep knowledge of web protocols, operating systems, hypervisors, and distributed systems architecture.
• Utilize Azure-native security tools including Azure Policy, Defender for Cloud, and Microsoft Sentinel for threat detection and compliance.
• Align infrastructure design and implementation with the Azure Cloud Adoption Framework (CAF) or similar methodologies.

Required Skills &
Experience

• Strong understanding of Azure networking, compute, and storage services.
• Proven experience with Terraform and Terraform Enterprise, including the ability to articulate differences and use cases.
• Experience creating and managing private endpoints and integrating them with hybrid environments.
• Familiarity with cloud security best practices and tools native to Azure.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Deep knowledge of Azure Cloud
• Adoption Framework(CAF) or similar frameworks
• Cloud Security (e.g. Azure Policy, Azure Defender for Cloud, Azure Sentinel)
• Experience with cloud security
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD toolchains such as Maven/Jenkins
• Experience with general programming languages Java/python etc
• Agile development practices and test-driven development
• Experience with configuration management and automation tools such as Ansible, Puppet, CloudFormation, Salt

This is a Contract position based out of Chandler, AZ.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $73.68 - $73.68/hr.
