Location: Colorado Springs, COSalary Range: $115,000 - $180,000 (DOE)Hybrid - 3 Days Onsite | Local Candidates Only This is a W2 role only (no C2C or 1099).Samtec is expanding its global IoT & SCADA engineering team and seeking a Hybrid IoT Software Engineer to help build the next generation of machine integrations, real-time data pipelines, and modern manufacturing insights. This role blends SCADA engineering, IoT development, and hands-on collaboration with production teams across our manufacturing network.
What You'll DoSCADA & Machine Integration- Develop and maintain SCADA/HMI solutions using Ignition (preferred).
- Integrate new manufacturing equipment via OPC UA, TCP/IP, and other industrial protocols.
- Modernize existing integrations as we transition to a cloud-ready architecture.
IoT & Edge Data Engineering- Work with edge devices to capture, normalize, and publish machine data.
- Build and support MQTT-based ingestion pipelines.
- Push data to cloud storage (S3), time-series databases, and MES systems.
Software Development- Build microservices and APIs to distribute machine and process data.
- Work with C#, Angular, .NET, and Microsoft-based technologies.
- Support document-based and time-series data platforms.
Manufacturing Collaboration- Partner closely with process, quality, and product engineers.
- Turn raw machine data into meaningful operational insights.
- Provide occasional onsite support at other Samtec manufacturing locations.
Top Skills Needed- SCADA/HMI systems - Ignition strongly preferred
- Industrial protocols - OPC UA, TCP/IP
- C#, Angular (Or any backend, frontend languages)
- Microservices & API development

Compensation & Work Environment- Base salary: $115,000-$180,000 (commensurate with experience)
- Two scheduled bonus payouts per year
- Eligible for a company performance-based bonus
- Hybrid schedule: 3 days onsite in Colorado Springs, CO
