10+ years of experience customizing MessageWay, MWIR, TIBCO, and MOVEit, including a strong understanding of their strengths, limitations, configurations, customer support, troubleshooting, and associated networks.
10+ years of MessageWay, MWIR, and MOVEit database architecture
Strong interpersonal, analytical, and customer service skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with management and stakeholders across multiple State departments.
Experience configuring and testing MessageWay, MWIR, MOVEit, and TIBCO applications.
Extensive experience with Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) practices and methodologies, along with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Design, develop, test, document, package, and delivery of scripts
- Vendor submissions will close on 4/28 at 10am ET. Late submissions will not be accepted.
- Work Schedule: Part-time assignment (15 hours per week), Monday through Friday. There is no fixed daily schedule, and work will occur outside of standard 8:00 AM 5:00 PM hours. Evening and occasional weekend availability is required.
- Work Location: Exception approved for a fully remote position.
- Interview Process: 60-minute Virtual Interview via MS Teams (video required). Candidates should join from a laptop and be prepared to share their screen if requested. A screenshot photo of candidate will be required for any interviews as well as a vendor present at beginning of virtual interview to validate candidate.
- Assignment duration: Initial 1-year contract with a possibility of extension based on performance and business needed.

Job Title- Senior Technical Strategist
Job Summary:
The File Transfer Service (FTS) was established in 1997 and has evolved into a vital system for the State of Michigan. As a Managed File Transfer (MFT) solution, FTS facilitates the secure exchange of millions of files between state agencies and trusted internal/external trusted partners. It meets all compliance and audit standards, offering features such as secure transfers, automatic notifications, retries, and comprehensive auditing capabilities.
The primary focus of FTS is to efficiently manage the transfer of large files and high volumes of data. FTS handles the transfer of all data classifications, and it is utilized by every agency within the State of Michigan (SoM).
File Transfer Service (FTS) MessageWay to MOVEit migration project: Migrate all existing MessageWay customers / users to the new MOVEit solution. MOVEit File Transfer Services (FTS) will expand file transfer capabilities (e.g., ad hoc file transfers) and automation. Due to the complexity of these migrations, the process is expected to take approximately two years to complete.
Required Qualifications:
- 10+ years of experience customizing MessageWay, MWIR, TIBCO, and MOVEit, including a strong understanding of their strengths, limitations, configurations, customer support, troubleshooting, and associated networks.
- 10+ years of MessageWay, MWIR, and MOVEit database architecture
- Strong interpersonal, analytical, and customer service skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with management and stakeholders across multiple State departments.
- Experience configuring and testing MessageWay, MWIR, MOVEit, and TIBCO applications.
- Extensive experience with Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) practices and methodologies, along with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Design, develop, test, document, package, and delivery of scripts
- PowerShell scripting
- Ability to develop and maintain strategic plans that support organizational and project objectives.
- Ability to assist customers in designing file transfer solutions that meet business and technical requirements.
- Experience in creating and defining FTS reports to meet customer needs as required.
