Summary

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer (AWS) for a contract position in Greenwood Village, CO. This role is onsite 4 days/week. This is a contract opportunity supporting a highly visible engineering team focused on building and expanding next-generation mobile and WiFi capabilities.

Summary:
The DevOps Engineer will join a collaborative Mobile Device Software team working on mission-critical systems that power intelligent connectivity and mobile experiences. This is a highly collaborative, onsite role (4 days per week) where you will work closely with software engineers, product teams, and infrastructure partners to help design, build, and maintain modern cloud-based environments.

Key Responsibilities:
* Build and maintain cloud infrastructure in AWS to support mobile and connectivity platforms
* Implement and improve DevOps tools, systems, and processes that support development teams
* Automate and enhance CI/CD pipelines and release processes
* Collaborate with engineers and stakeholders to ensure solutions meet technical and business needs
* Identify and troubleshoot production issues, performing root cause analysis when needed
* Implement system improvements and software updates to improve reliability and performance
* Ensure systems follow security best practices and remain protected from potential threats
* Develop scripts and tooling to automate operational tasks and monitoring
* Design and maintain procedures for system troubleshooting and ongoing maintenance

REQUIREMENTS:
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
* Experience working as a DevOps Engineer or in a similar software engineering role
* Strong experience with AWS cloud infrastructure
* Proficiency with Terraform or other infrastructure-as-code tools
* Experience with Git and GitHub workflows
* Working knowledge of databases and SQL
* Familiarity with Agile development environments and CI/CD practices
* Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
* Collaborative team mindset with the ability to work independently when needed
* Comfortable mentoring or advising other engineers when appropriate

Preferred Experience:
* AWS certification is a plus
* 5+ years of DevOps or related engineering experience
* 5+ years building and supporting cloud-based development environments (AWS)
* Experience configuring and managing databases such as MySQL, MongoDB, or DynamoDB
* Experience managing production infrastructure using Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar tools
* Experience with configuration management tools such as Ansible, Chef, or Puppet

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
