RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking a Program Manager in Lake Forest, IL.
Summary:
The Program Manager will lead large-scale IT transformation initiatives, ensuring strong governance, disciplined execution, and alignment to business strategy. This role partners with IT leaders, transformation functions, finance, and business stakeholders to deliver complex, multi-workstream programs with predictable outcomes, executive transparency, and measurable value.
Key Responsibilities:
* Establish and enforce program governance, standards, and delivery discipline
* Manage end-to-end program planning, milestones, dependencies, and scope
* Ensure consistent delivery practices across Agile, SAFe, and hybrid models
* Identify and manage risks, issues, and decision escalation with clear recommendations
* Deliver executive-level reporting on progress, KPIs, risks, and trade-offs
* Drive stakeholder alignment across IT, business, and transformation teams
* Oversee financial tracking, forecasting, resource planning, and value realization
* Support enterprise transformation initiatives and continuous improvement efforts
REQUIREMENTS:
* 7-10+ years of IT program or project management experience
* Proven success managing large, complex programs ($20M+ budgets)
* Hands-on experience with Agile and SAFe delivery frameworks
* Strong governance, financial, and executive communication skills
* Experience working with senior leaders and cross-functional stakeholders
Preferred Experience:
* SAFe or Agile certification
* Background supporting enterprise or transformation office initiatives
* Experience in regulated or complex enterprise environments
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
