Summary

Job Title: Disaster Recovery Analyst / BCDR Analyst
Location: Irvine, CA (Hybrid)

Key Responsibilities

Disaster Recovery Plan Review

  • Review and validate application Disaster Recovery (DR) plans using established quality checklists.
  • Ensure DR documentation, questionnaires, and templates are fully completed and meet organizational standards.
  • Identify gaps, inconsistencies, or missing information within DR plans and coordinate with application teams to resolve issues.
  • Provide feedback and recommendations to improve DR documentation and processes.

DR Testing & Validation

  • Review Disaster Recovery test results and supporting artifacts such as logs, screenshots, and reports.
  • Verify recovery timelines, test outcomes, and compliance with recovery objectives.
  • Assess test commentary and documentation for clarity and completeness.
  • Escalate incomplete or insufficient testing evidence and follow up with application teams for resolution.

Coordination & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Work closely with application owners to track DR plan completion and testing status.
  • Coordinate with internal DR operations teams to ensure alignment on processes and reporting.
  • Track DR activities, progress, and compliance metrics using tracking tools and reporting systems.

Training & Awareness

  • Conduct training sessions and workshops for application teams on Disaster Recovery principles and best practices.
  • Facilitate tabletop exercises and scenario-based discussions to strengthen DR readiness.
  • Provide guidance on DR policies, terminology, and documentation standards.

Required Skills

  • Experience in Disaster Recovery (DR), Business Continuity (BCDR), or IT Resilience programs.
  • Strong understanding of DR planning, DR testing, and recovery documentation.
  • Ability to review technical documentation and identify gaps or compliance issues.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder coordination abilities.
  • Strong Excel and reporting skills.
