Analyze business requirements and develop technical solutions to meet defined system needs. Prepare functional and technical design specifications for application enhancements. Conduct gap analysis and data analysis to support system design and implementation decisions. Develop and maintain mainframe batch programs, copybooks, jobs, and procedures to support enterprise systems, data processing, and transaction workflows. Design, modify, and support online mainframe applications using CICS programs and screens. Generate operational and analytical reports using Job Control Language (JCL), SYNCSORT data sorting utilities, and EZTRIEVE reporting utilities. Debug, test, and implement application components using standard mainframe debugging and testing tools. Create and execute unit test data and batch jobs using Job Control Language (JCL). Support system, user acceptance, and performance testing by assisting with test data preparation and execution. Review program code, test cases, and test results to ensure compliance with established coding and quality standards. Provide technical guidance to project teams through code review and testing feedback.
