Summary

We're hiring for a large-scale infrastructure migration moving thousands of servers from Azure to Google Cloud Platform. This is a hands-on engineering role - not a "check the DevOps box" position - ideal for someone with a strong Windows systems administration background who's picked up cloud and automation skills along the way.

What you'll do:

Support compute platform migration across hybrid on-prem and Google Cloud Platform environments
Work with Google Compute Engine (GCE), VMware (vSphere/vCenter), and IBM Power Systems where applicable
Use PowerShell heavily for day-to-day operations, with exposure to Terraform/Ansible for automation
Partner with cross-functional teams to translate architecture into working infrastructure

What we're looking for:

Windows systems administration background with some exposure to DevOps/automation practices
Familiarity with Google Cloud Platform (GitHub projects, personal labs, or coursework are fine if you don't have production experience)
Exposure to hypervisors, hyperscalers, or load balancing is a strong plus
Comfortable in a heavier PowerShell environment
Must be local to or willing to relocate to the Irving, TX area

Logistics:

Contract-to-hire, target 6 months
Onsite 4 days/week, 1 remote day
