Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Machinist to support precision manufacturing operations at our Houston (Rankin Road) facility. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience operating turning and milling machines, with the ability to set up and run equipment independently while maintaining high quality and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
· Operate turning and milling machines to manufacture precision components
· Work with Mazak Mazatrol and Hurco WinMax controls (experience preferred)
· Operate manual machines (lathe, mill, etc.) as required
· Perform machine setup including tooling, fixturing, offsets, and program verification with minimal supervision
· Interpret and work from engineering drawings and blueprints, including Dimensional tolerances and GD&T symbols and callouts
· Conduct in‑process and final inspections using precision measuring instruments
· Ensure components meet quality, accuracy, and specification requirements
· Follow all safety, quality, and standard operating procedures
· Maintain a clean and organized work area
Required Qualifications
· 5–8 years of experience as a Machinist in a manufacturing or job shop environment
· Proven experience operating turning and milling machines
· Strong knowledge of machine setup and machining processes
· Ability to operate manual machines when required
· Excellent understanding of blueprints, tolerances, and GD&T
· Proficiency with precision measuring tools
· Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
· Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and workmanship
