Summary

The Role

The client, a world-renowned computational research organization in New York City, is seeking elite Machine Learning Researchers and Engineers. This interdisciplinary team is focused on developing and applying Large Language Models (LLMs) to solve some of the most complex problems in molecular science and drug discovery.

This is a unique opportunity to work on foundational AI research, large-scale multimodal training, and breakthrough scientific discoveries using proprietary, cutting-edge supercomputing infrastructure.


Core Responsibilities

  • Scalable Infrastructure: Scaling and optimizing large model training and inference workflows on custom, high-performance computing (HPC) environments.

  • Pre-training & Architecture: Designing sophisticated data pipelines and implementing distributed/parallel training strategies.

  • Post-training Innovation: Applying advanced techniques including Reinforcement Learning (RL), contrastive learning, and instruction tuning.

  • Multimodal Integration: Developing methods to integrate non-text modalities—such as molecular graphs, 3D structures, and time-series data—into unified models.

  • Scientific Discovery: Leveraging LLM architectures to accelerate the design of precisely targeted, highly selective drugs for various diseases.
