Position Overview
Seeking an experienced Equipment & Tool Engineer to support equipment development, integration, and continuous improvement initiatives within a manufacturing environment. This role focuses on asset reliability, automated systems, equipment lifecycle management, and production support. The ideal candidate is hands-on, proactive, and passionate about process optimization and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and improve manufacturing equipment and production assets.
- Ensure equipment reliability, safety, compliance, and operational efficiency.
- Conduct equipment health assessments and support preventive maintenance programs.
- Manage asset lifecycle documentation, configuration control, and maintenance planning.
- Lead equipment acquisition, testing, commissioning, and modification projects.
- Create equipment specifications and verification/validation test plans.
- Collaborate with suppliers, procurement teams, technicians, and cross-functional stakeholders.
- Analyze maintenance and spare-parts data to improve reliability and reduce costs.
- Optimize manufacturing equipment for safety, quality, productivity, and maintainability.
- Support production readiness activities and ensure compliance with applicable standards and regulations.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, or a related technical field.
- 5+ years of engineering experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience managing complex technical projects and equipment implementation.
- Knowledge of asset management, preventive maintenance, and spare-parts optimization.
- Experience with hardware/software configuration management and technical documentation.
- Familiarity with industrial safety standards and regulatory compliance.
- Understanding of manufacturing processes and equipment systems.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
