Job Overview

We are looking for an experienced Oracle Fusion HCM Cloud Payroll Lead to support payroll implementation and delivery for a client in New York City. The ideal candidate should have strong functional expertise in Oracle Cloud Global Payroll, hands-on implementation experience, and the ability to lead client discussions while coordinating with technical and offshore teams.

The candidate will be responsible for understanding payroll business requirements, designing solutions, configuring payroll functionality, and ensuring successful implementation from the initial planning stage through go-live and post-production support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end Oracle Fusion Cloud Payroll implementation activities, including requirement analysis, solution design, configuration, testing, deployment, and post-go-live support.
  • Configure and support payroll components such as payroll elements, balances, Fast Formulas, retroactive payroll, costing, payment methods, and payroll processing flows.
  • Work closely with client stakeholders to understand payroll policies, earnings, deductions, tax treatments, payment processes, and reconciliation requirements.
  • Conduct client workshops, requirement-gathering sessions, and Fit-Gap analysis to identify business needs and recommend suitable Oracle solutions.
  • Coordinate with business users, technical teams, and offshore delivery teams to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Manage System Integration Testing (SIT), User Acceptance Testing (UAT), parallel payroll runs, defect resolution, and payroll validation.
  • Support payroll cutover, production deployment, go-live activities, and post-implementation stabilization.
  • Ensure seamless integration between Oracle Fusion Core HR and Payroll, including end-to-end data validation and integration testing.
  • Assist with payroll reporting, payslips, payment processing, costing validation, and payroll reconciliation.
  • Collaborate with technical teams on HCM Extracts, HDL/HSDL, REST/SOAP services, and BI Publisher reports as required.
  • Support Redwood page personalization using Visual Builder Studio (VBS), where applicable.

Required Skills

  • Strong hands-on experience with Oracle Fusion HCM Cloud Global Payroll.
  • Proven experience leading end-to-end Oracle Cloud Payroll implementations.
  • In-depth knowledge of payroll configuration, including Elements, Balances, Fast Formulas, Retro Payroll, Costing, and Payroll Flows.
  • Good understanding of payroll calculations, earnings, deductions, payment methods, and payroll reconciliation.
  • Experience managing payroll testing, parallel runs, cutover, go-live, and hypercare.
  • Strong understanding of Oracle Fusion Core HR and Payroll integrations.
  • Excellent client-facing communication, stakeholder management, and team leadership skills.
  • Ability to work onsite at the client office in NYC three days per week.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Oracle Fusion HCM or Payroll certification.
  • Experience with multi-country payroll implementations.
  • Familiarity with HCM Extracts, HDL/HSDL, REST/SOAP integrations, and BI Publisher.
  • Exposure to Redwood UI personalization and Visual Builder Studio (VBS).
