PSI Pax, Inc. has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Systems Programmer (Web/SharePoint ) join our team in support of our customer in Dahlgren VA.

Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Lead the design and development of web applications and software solutions: This involves designing the overall web application architecture and detailing each of the components.
  • Identify user and system requirements for new websites and applications: Collaborate with stakeholders like business analysts, product owners, and IT managers to understand their needs.
  • Prioritize software development projects: Set timelines, allocate resources, define key milestones, and assign tasks to team members.
  • Write and review code for various applications: Ensure code quality, adherence to standards, and optimization for performance, scalability, and responsiveness.
  • Develop technical specifications and plans: Create documentation of program development and revisions, including workflow charts and diagrams, according to DoD Cyber Exchange Public (.mil).
  • Design and develop cloud-native applications and plans for cloud migration: As noted on GovernmentJobs.com, leveraging technologies like Azure DevOps.
  • Enhance existing applications to automate business processes: Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and functionality.
  • Develop rapid prototypes for demonstrating new features, GUI ideas, and hardware evaluation: According to Indeed, showcasing creativity and problem-solving skills.
  • Oversee front-end and back-end development, integration, and database design and security: This requires expertise in various technologies like HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Node.js, Python, Java, Ruby, PHP, and database systems like MySQL and PostgreSQL.
  • Apply software engineering best practices: Utilize Agile, DevSecOps, Continuous Integration (CI), and Continuous Deployment (CD) methodologies.
  • Ensure adherence to relevant security standards, regulations, and compliance requirements: Throughout the software development process.

Required Qualifications:
  • Six (6) years of professional experience in relation to using various programming languages to develop websites and network systems, maintaining databases, developing new user interfaces and designing and debugging website.
  • Qualified experience in HTML, JavaScript, CSS and C++ programming language and experience in SharePoint.
  • This position is required to be designated as an IT Level 1.

Education Requirements:
  • Bachelors Degree in IT Discipline
