Summary

Role: Domain Architect

Location: Monterey Park, California, United States

Duration: Long Term

We are looking for an experienced Enterprise Architect with strong expertise in AWS Cloud, Integration Architecture, Vendor/SI Delivery, and enterprise system integrations. The ideal candidate will support AMIR deployment, integration, and data architecture initiatives while establishing architecture governance, standards, and long-term technology strategies.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Support AMIR deployment model evaluation by reviewing vendor SaaS and company-managed cloud impacts on security, resiliency, integration, and operational readiness.
  • Support AMIR integration design activities by reviewing interface requirements, system dependencies, design decisions, and vendor/SI deliverables required for downstream edge-system readiness.
  • Support AMIR data design activities by reviewing data models, source-to-target mappings, canonical data structures, and edge-system data dependencies required for downstream integrations.
  • Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for architecture strategy and governance.
  • Develop enterprise architecture blueprints and long-term technology roadmaps.
  • Align architecture initiatives with organizational objectives, technology strategy, and budgets.
  • Lead cross-functional teams in implementing complex architecture solutions.
  • Establish architecture review boards, governance standards, and approval processes.
  • Negotiate with vendors regarding technology solutions and integration standards.
  • Advise senior leadership on architecture trends, technology investments, and priorities.
  • Oversee risk management, security, and compliance for architecture programs.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education

  • Required: 4-year degree in a relevant field or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
  • Preferred: Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Information Systems, or a related technical discipline.

Experience

  • Required: 10+ years of related experience.
  • Preferred: 5+ years of experience as an Architect with:
    • AWS Cloud Solutions
    • Integration Architecture
    • Vendor/SI Delivery
    • SAP/CIS integration touchpoints

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Ability to align systems architecture with long-term business and technology strategy.
  • Ability to define architecture standards, reference models, and best practices.
  • Strong ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority.
  • Expert knowledge of IT systems architecture across multiple technology domains.
  • Knowledge of emerging infrastructure and platform technologies.
  • Strong problem-solving skills for complex cross-platform and cross-environment architecture challenges.
  • Knowledge of integration architecture patterns, including:
    • REST APIs
    • Event-driven architectures
    • Message-based integration
    • Secure data exchange across SaaS, cloud, and enterprise systems
  • Preferred knowledge of utility metering, Headend/MDMS, or enterprise asset/customer system integration concepts.
  • Preferred knowledge of AWS Cloud architecture patterns for company-managed AMIR integration layers supporting vendor SaaS or cloud-hosted AMI solutions, including:
    • Security
    • Resiliency
    • Observability
    • Operational support

Licenses & Certifications

  • Preferred: Relevant AWS Cloud Architecture certification.
