Position Overview

The Network Support Specialist is responsible for the maintenance of network infrastructure and the Microsoft 365/Office 365 tenant. Working within a specialized team of three, you will handle escalated technical issues, manage account provisioning through custom scripts, and assist in high-impact infrastructure projects. This role balances routine maintenance with a structured on-call rotation to ensure 24/7 reliability for critical sites.

Key Responsibilities

• Network & Infrastructure: Troubleshoot and resolve complex wired and wireless network issues. Support network rollouts, upgrades, and hardware cleanup efforts.
• Identity & Access Management: Manage account onboarding/offboarding via Entra ID (Azure AD) and custom scripts.
• Microsoft Administration: Perform administrative tasks including Group Policy management, user provisioning, and Microsoft 365 tenant administration.
• Server Maintenance: Assist with basic Windows Server administration, including patch management, updates, and performance monitoring.
• Ticket Management: Respond to and resolve help desk tickets with a focus on infrastructure-related incidents and network outages.
• On-Call Support: Participate in a rotating on-call schedule (typically every 3 weeks) to provide Level 1 and Level 2 support for critical site outages.

Required Skills & Experience

• Network Troubleshooting: 10+ years of hands-on experience troubleshooting both wired and wireless networking environments.
• Microsoft Ecosystem: 5 years of experience with Microsoft Entra ID (formerly Azure AD).
• Systems Administration: 5 years of experience with Windows Server environments and general Microsoft administration.
• Customer Service: 5 years of experience in a professional customer-facing technical support role.
• Education: Bachelor's Degree (equivalent professional experience may be substituted).

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience managing wiring closets and physical network hardware.
• Hands-on experience with Ruckus switches.
• Familiarity with the Deskpro Ticketing System.
• Advanced knowledge of Active Directory, DNS, and Group Policy.
