- You will supervise the daily activities of a team of highly skilled subject matter experts who are responsible for a broad range of cybersecurity functions, primarily related to the Risk Management Framework (RMF) process.
- You will plan, direct, and oversee the work of branch personnel in fulfilling Cybersecurity requirements for NAVIFOR and its domain, with a focus on implementing and maintaining RMF compliance.
- You will ensure that all IT systems, sites, applications, and networks within the NAVIFOR domain comply with the DoW, DON Directives, Instructions, and other national-level policy documents in order to achieve Authority to Operate (ATO).
- You will process packages through the planning, analysis, implementation, maintenance, and enhancement of information systems security programs, polices, procedures, collaboration process and tools.

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
- This position is designated as a Cyber IT/Cybersecurity Workforce position. You must obtain and maintain the credentials as described in SECNAV M-5239.2 for specialty area 612 level advanced within 12 months of appointment
QualificationsYour resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:

- Information Technology Customer Support - Provide fuctional and/or technical support to customers to ensure validation of requirements and delivery of Information Technology capabilities.
- Information Technology Project Management - Execute an information technology project from initiation to sustainment to fulfill established requirements that meet specified business missions.
Oversight and quality control of RMF authorization packages, ensuring compliance with DON CIO, DoD, and national cybersecurity directives. Experience interpreting and applying cybersecurity policies, directives, and technical guidance across multiple IT systems and commands. Technical expertise in evaluating vulnerabilities, applying cybersecurity principles, and validating remediation through vulnerability assessment tools (e.g., ACAS, HBSS, STIG checklists, and other cyber defense technologies). Developing and maintaining information system authorization documentation, including POA&Ms and continuous monitoring artifacts, ensuring system owners meet ongoing compliance requirements. Leading teams in the review and submission of RMF packages, balancing mission requirements with risk management to support timely Authorizations to Operate (ATOs). Providing supervisory leadership, including planning work, setting priorities, assigning tasks, evaluating performance, and ensuring professional development of staff.
