Summary

Job Title: Public Health Program Director (Public Health Administrator 1) – Hybrid

Location: Nashville, TN (Hybrid)
Duration: 10+ Months Contract

Key Responsibilities

Lead statewide implementation of healthcare resiliency initiatives.
Establish program goals, KPIs, and performance metrics.
Manage federal grant requirements, reporting, and compliance activities.
Oversee budgets, contracts, procurement, and audit readiness.
Ensure compliance with HIPAA and other state/federal regulations.
Provide technical assistance to rural healthcare providers.
Develop program evaluations and performance reports.
Create communication and outreach strategies for stakeholders.
Present program updates to leadership, legislative bodies, and community groups.
Build partnerships with healthcare providers, community organizations, and government agencies.

Required Skills

Strong leadership and program management experience.
Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
Knowledge of public health systems, rural healthcare, and care delivery models.
Experience with telehealth, care coordination, and healthcare technology.
Familiarity with EHR systems, health information exchange, HL7, and FHIR standards.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and work collaboratively across diverse teams.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor''s degree from an accredited college or university.
5+ years of progressively responsible public health program experience.
At least 2 years of supervisory or statewide program oversight experience.
Graduate coursework in a business or health-related field may substitute for some experience requirements.
Additional professional experience may substitute for education requirements (up to 4 years).
