Role Overview
As a Senior IT Infrastructure Engineer, you will be part of an IT Operations team, operating in a converged IP environment. This role is responsible for the design, migration, implementation, enhancement, optimization, and maintenance of the enterprise network and IT infrastructure. You will act as a senior engineer on various technical projects, including infrastructure consolidation and integration, architecture redesigns, and routine security-related operational responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical expertise and assist with network infrastructure integration and consolidation efforts across multiple network environments.
- Oversee the day-to-day health of the enterprise network infrastructure, with a focus on assuring stability, capacity, and organizational productivity.
- Provide advanced application-level support for the resolution of network-related requests.
- Address and resolve technical problems relating to the installation, upgrade, and daily operation of local and regionally distributed network infrastructure.
- Interface with technical staff to analyze business and technical requirements relating to network infrastructure.
- Work closely with the Datacenter Manager to establish and deliver consistent technical direction and analyze performance metrics.
- Document engineering standards and proposals, and assist in the development of network designs, changes, and configuration management.
- Assist in evaluating current and emerging networking technologies, conduct technical assessments, and make recommendations.
Required Qualifications
Education:A bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent work experience is required.
Experience:A minimum of 6+ years of hands-on experience is required in the implementation and administration of complex, multi-location, multi-vendor, converged voice/data networks in a geographically distributed environment.
Technical Skills:- SharePoint Online experience, including configuring sites.
- Microsoft Power Automate experience, including troubleshooting and building new workflows.
- Windows Administration.
- PowerShell scripting.
- Active Directory and Group Policy management.
- Virtualization experience with VMware or Hyper-V.
- Experience with networking products, including Cisco, Extreme, and Meraki.
- Experience with client-to-site and site-to-site VPN technologies.
- Experience with Microsoft Azure.
- Hands-on experience with network and security monitoring tools such as Syslog, SNMP, Splunk, and SolarWinds.
- Experience with network security concepts and technologies, including SSH, IPSec, RADIUS, TACACS, firewall policies, and 802.1x.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with NAC/NAP technologies such as Microsoft or Cisco ISE is a plus.
- CCNA, CCNP, CISSP, and other relevant security certifications are highly desired.
Compensation & Benefits
The pay range for this position is $40.00 to $60.00 per hour. A comprehensive benefits package is available for this position.
