AWS AI Engineer Agentic - Contract - Denver, CO - $62.12-$62.12/hr.

The final salary or hourly wage, as applicable, paid to each candidate/applicant for this position is ultimately dependent on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, the candidate's/applicant's qualifications, skills, and level of experience as well as the geographical location of the position.

Our client is seeking an AWS AI Engineer Agentic in Denver, CO.

Responsibilities

The AWS AI Engineer designs and builds AI solutions on AWS-from rapid prototypes to production workloads.
Typical patterns include RAG pipelines, model inference endpoints, prompt and guardrail services, agent frameworks, and LLMOps automation.
Implement AI services using AWS components such as Amazon Bedrock, SageMaker, Lambda/API Gateway, ECS/EKS, Step Functions, KMS/Secrets Manager, and CloudWatch/X Ray.
Build RAG pipelines (embeddings, vector indexes), prompt flows, safety filters, and evaluation processes, package as reusable services.
Automate infrastructure and deployments with IaC (CDK/Terraform) and CI/CD, design for resiliency, performance, and cost efficiency.
Instrument observability and cost controls; support reliability SLOs and performance tuning.
6-10+ years in backend/data/ML engineering, including 2-3+ years building on AWS.
Proficiency in Python and/or TypeScript/Java; containers; event driven and microservice design.
Practical knowledge of LLM integration patterns and security fundamentals on AWS.
Preferred certifications: AWS AI/ML or equivalent; agentic/GenAI learning a plus.
