Job Description:

AgreeYa is a global Systems Integrator and is seeking to hire a Senior PCBA/PCB Engineer responsible for board-level design analysis, reverse engineering, diagnosis, troubleshooting, and repair. The role will develop comprehensive repair plans, troubleshoot defective boards with or without design documentation, use oscilloscopes, multimeters, and logic analyzers, and work independently while ensuring timely delivery. The ideal candidate will bring 15–20 years of experience, strong problem-solving and communication skills, knowledge of power supplies and electrical systems, and willingness to travel to Singapore and China for escalations.

Required Experince:

• Strong expertise in PCBA design analysis, reverse engineering, and diagnosis/troubleshooting to address our repair goals.

Candidate should be capable of diagnosing and troubleshooting defective boards, with or without relevant design documentation.
• Skilled at developing comprehensive board repair plans—including approaches, timelines, and identifying technical dependencies.
• Applying critical thinking to troubleshoot PCBA issues without design documents
• Proficient in using PCB troubleshooting equipment such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, and logic analyzers
• Work with minimum guidance
• Good track record of on time delivery
• Candidate should be willing to travel for escalations. Primarily Singapore and China
• Attitude to persevere through tough challenges
• Good understanding on Power supplies and electrical systems will be a plus

• they can work effectively with both junior and senior-level team members, bringing in a collaborative environment
• communicate clearly with non-technical stakeholders
• Experience Level is 15 to 20 years with minimum Bachelors degree

 

 

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Reverse engineer PCBAs and undocumented or minimally documented circuit boards.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose complex board-level failures.
  • Analyze mixed-signal circuits and identify potential failure mechanisms.
  • Develop repair procedures, troubleshooting documentation, and best-known methods (BKMs).
  • Create: High-level block diagrams, Bills of Materials (BOMs)
  • Repair and troubleshooting procedures
  • Work with suppliers and contract manufacturers to transfer repair knowledge and processes.
  • Validate repairs and support testing activities.
  • Coordinate with external suppliers for services such as X-ray inspection, ASIC replacement, and specialized repair activities.

 

Must-Have Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • Approximately 15-20 years of relevant experience preferred.
  • Strong PCBA troubleshooting and circuit analysis experience.
  • Reverse engineering expertise.
  • Mixed-signal circuit analysis experience.
  • Ability to understand complete system interactions, not just individual boards.
  • Strong documentation and technical communication skills.
  •  
  • Preferred Qualifications:
  • PCBA design background.
  • Experience bringing up boards and resolving issues during board bring-up.
  • Power supply design/troubleshooting experience.
  • Experience creating BOMs and technical procedures.
  • Familiarity with: Cadence, OrCAD Capture CIS, Allegro, Visio, Tool expertise is considered a plus rather than a strict requirement.

  • Candidates whose reverse engineering experience represents only part of their overall career experience.
