Statement of Work:
Client is a platform for electronically filing returns with the Client. It provides SOA based web services that filers use to submit returns and provides web applications for Client users to work with the returns. Client validates filed returns, determines their disposition, and interfaces with other Client systems for downstream processing of the returns. Client has developed and enhanced Client since 2001.
Task Description:
Java/JEE developer to design and develop Client Mod microservices using Springboot, KAFKA, JAX-Rest Services, JPA/Hibernate and Redhat OpenShift. Perform Unit and Integration tests. Participate in code reviews, troubleshoot production issues and maintain Java components as needed.
Primary Duties:
Design and develop Java/JEE components using KAFKA, Spring Rest Services, Spring Boot 70%
Perform unit and development level integration testing as needed 20%
Perform code maintenance based on needs of IBM testing, customer testing, and production issues 10%
Required Skills/Level of Experience:
Java/JEE microservices development with Spring REST and Spring Boot 8 years
Integrate KAFKA for Event Driven Workflows 4 years
KAFKA Administration 2 years
Development using AI Tools such as Claude Code 1 year
Red Hat OpenShift Container platform - 4 years
Develop automated unit tests with JUnit 4 years
Eclipse or Spring Tool Suite or JBoss studio 4 years
Github, JIRA 3 year
